Mark Davies:
Mark joined the financial services industry in 1987, fulfilling a range of advisory and managerial roles until he joined Westminster Wealth Management in 2005.
Mark has built up considerable experience in advising corporate entities on employee benefits and has formed working relationships with IT providers, actuarial firms and other consultants to enable him to deliver a holistic solution to an organisation’s needs, whether they are large or small. He advises on both trustee based and contract based pension schemes, group insurances such as life cover and income protection, flexible benefits schemes and total reward statements, as well as advice on reducing tax and national insurance contributions for both employees and employers. His clients range from small starts ups with a handful of staff to multinationals with workforces numbering in the thousands.
There are two essential principles that Mark works by: the first is that staff perception is key – if your staff do not believe that a benefit provided by you as part of their remuneration package is actually beneficial to them, then you as an employer are wasting your time and money. The second related principle is that if you do not remind your employees regularly what their benefits are then they are likely to forget what you provide in addition to basic salary, and the temptation to look for employment elsewhere for a small pay rise increases.
In many cases Mark is able to identify enough cost savings to make the implementation of substantial improvements in an employee benefit programme cost neutral for the company.
Mark is married with four children. He enjoys playing football with his local amateur team and is a keen golfer and skier. |
