It's more likely that a property numbered 13 will be cheaper than average, however, they are more difficult to find as only 28% of streets have a number 13. The properties or flats numbered 13 are on average 3% cheaper according to Zoopla. Research by the same firm showed that nearly a third of UK buyers would not buy a home with the dreaded number on the front door.
The "sell in May and go away" saying is one example of superstition in the investment world. Adrian Ash of BullionVault says that there was 45% less trading volume on Fridays that fell on the 13th in 2015 compared to their surrounding Fridays.
The average wedding costs £27,161, which you could reduce if you decide to get married on Friday the 13th, with some venues offering discounts due to the lower interest in the day.
