Ed Grobler

Advising clients since: 2010

Qualifications: DipPFS, ER, Long-Term Care (CF8)

Areas of expertise: Holistic financial planning, SSAS & SIPP pensions, Cashflow Modelling, Court of Protection, Inheritance Tax & Estate Planning

Having started in the mortgage industry in 2001, Ed moved into wealth management in 2010 and has been advising clients across a broad range of holistic planning areas ever since.

These range from generalist planning areas - such as tax-efficient investment planning (within both pre and post-retirement phases), retirement planning, inheritance tax planning (and estate planning more generally) and trust-based planning strategies, through to more specialist areas such  ‘Court of Protection’- based planning and specialist pension planning incorporating SIPP and SSAS pensions.

A further area of particular specialism for Ed is cashflow modelling – providing clients with meaningful visibility around their financial affairs and, ultimately, the clarity to aid significant decision making while also avoiding easy mistakes. In a previous role, Ed was part of the original team of advisers who created one of the main cashflow modelling systems used by advisers in the UK. As a result, Ed has a deep understanding of (and appreciation for) the role of cashflow modelling as a planning tool in helping clients achieve their goals.

Outside of work, Ed lives in a village outside of Bath with his wife and three children (and dog, Milo!) and enjoys keeping active with a particular focus on coastal path walks, running and cycling.
